The 2nd Annual Crystal Lake Half Marathon on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021.
Enjoy the sites of Crystal Lake Illinois with the start at iconic Crystal Lake Main Beach, a loop around Lippold Park, a view of the Dole Mansion, a jaunt down the Prairie Path, and finish up in down town Crystal Lake. This point to point venue will bus runners to the START with an easy 5 minute bus ride. Inside building and beach side warm up areas are available no matter what the weather will bring. Every 1 1/2 mile are water stations. Self serve cups and hydration filling will be available. The BREAK will be hosting the post race and awards party at Crystal Lake Brewery. Starting at 10:30 a.m. drop on by to get your free beer/beverage, check out results and congratulate the Overall Winners and Age Group Winners. A 50/50 raffle, Georgie's personal pizza, and beer will be available to purchase. Awards are set for 11 a.m.

Here's all the 'fun' details you need to know about the refund process.
Join us for the post race party at the Crystal Lake Brewery. Every racer, 21 years and older (with a race bib) will receive a CLB beer or beverage. Also THE BREAK will be hosting a 50/50 raffle, Georgio's Pizza, and additional beverages to purchase. Awards ceremony will be at approximately 10:30 a.m. Come for the race - Stay for the Fun!!
The start line is located at Main Beach 300 Lakeshore Drive in Crystal Lake. You will have access to restrooms, inside and outside areas for stretching, chillaxing, and talking over race strategy with your pals. We will provide gear check on site and will transport your gear back to the finish line.
The Finish line is located along Grant Street in the area of The Cottage Restaurant (6 Crystal Lake Avenue). If you parked at the Metra Lot #2 (70 East Woodstock Avenue & Grant St.), your car will be just located 2 blocks from the finish line. There will be no transportation back to the start line from our buses once you've crossed the finish line.
BEER - yes every finisher (over 21 years of age) can have a COLD Crystal Lake Brewery Beer. We hope to have a cold beverage for you around 9:30 a.m. at CLB. Non-Alcohol options will be available.
Parking is available in the Metra #2 Parking lot located at 70 East Woodstock Avenue & Grant Street). Buses will transport you to Main Beach where the start staging area is. This will provide you will access to your car, perhaps dry clothes, a recovery drink, and extra cash for a cold beverage AFTER the race. We highly recommend taking advantage of the bus transportation. OR... you can do a warm up run of 1.59 miles to the start of the race. Drop off is also allowed but there will be limited parking at Main Beach. 2 Buses will run from 5:30 - 7:15 a.m. to get you to the start on time. Spectators and volunteers can ride the bus. MASKS MUST BE WORN ON THE BUS - Per bus company requirements.
Water is located on the course every 1.5 miles. Please plan accordingly.
Miles: Start Staging area 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 10.5, 12 Finish Line
Orange Gatorade as well as water will be available at miles 9, 10.5 and 12. (New for 2021)
Every water stop will have filled cups on the table for you to serve yourself. Volunteers will not hand you a cup of water/gatorade.
Every finisher will receive a custom Crystal Lake Half Marathon medal.
The overall male and female winners will be awarded.

AGE GROUP 1st place winners will be awarded at the post race party at the Crystal Lake Brewery starting at 10:30 a.m.
Come and support The Break Teen Center by purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets, buying a beer or pizza.
Are you not sure on the weather and might need to drop a shirt/item off? Gear check is available at the start staging area. All gear items will be brought to the finish line.
